China, India, USA, and EU – Peak Oil Cometh Albeit a Little Late

November 20, 2009 in Energy | Comments (0)

Many believe we are at the beginning of the end of low oil prices, and that means in the US we had better get busy and figure out another way. So, far we’ve tried ethanol, but we cannot produce it cheaper than gasoline at the present, and we cannot seem to make enough of it to make a big enough dent on our Middle East Oil Addiction. And even if we could, we’d use up all our water supplies producing it say some analysts.

What about Hydrogen Cell Technology? Sure that makes sense but, we still need the infrastructure, fueling stations, and fuel tanks that do not leak out all the hydrogen. Consider if you will the challenge of keeping element number one on the periodic table in a fuel tank; easier said than done.

The World Demand for oil will only increase as most people agree, but is this really true you ask? Yes! Big Time issues here at home, as China comes online and India too, that is some 2.4 Billion People that will be using fossil fuels, and just think the USA is only 320,000 total.

Even if the “peak oil” scare of the 1970’s was miss-timed, today, it is definitely something we have to think about going forward. And the Oil Companies will need to be in on all this, otherwise nothing will happen, they need to be able to pay for all that infrastructure they have already built, and re-invest in the new; needless to say, there is lots of politics and power there. Please consider all this.
